Georgia dismisses Takais Brown

Georgia announced Friday that it had dismissed big man Takais Brown from the basketball team. That’s a blow because Brown gave the Bulldogs a strong presence around the basket.

In two games against Kentucky, Brown scored 20 points and grabbed seven rebounds in a victory at Athens, and had 12 points and six rebounds in a loss in Lexington.

Georgia cited a violation of team rules. Brown can continue to attend school.

That’s a HUGE blow to Georgia. I applaud Dennis Felton for having the courage to follow through with that decision.
