Good sign for Jasper and Meeks

Kentucky’s injured guards, Derrick Jasper and Jodie Meeks, participated in pre-game warmups at Florida Saturday night. That’s a step forward from the Mississippi State and Vanderbilt games, when they merely watched.

Now we’ll have to see if they play.

Meanwhile, the presence of ESPN’s GameDay crew inspired sign-making by Florida fans. One sign read: “Our Billy is better than your Billy.” Another was directed at UK freshman Patrick Patterson, who signed with the Cats rather than Florida. “7-8,” the sign read in reference to Kentucky’s record, “good call, Patrick.”

Trying hard does matter. An “A” for effort is outstanding.
But Billy Gillespie and all coaches/management have been in this business long enough to know one thing “results matter more, it is the number one measurement”.

In the high stakes of high end sports, college or professional, or business you win or you lose.

Billy Gillespie is losing and he owns all responsibility, period.

Did I overlook something Saturday, I do not recall seeing Jared Carter on the sidelines at the Florida game. True or not true?
