Louisville opens up 13-point lead

Louisville controlled the second-half action through the first two TV timeouts.

David Padgett’s dunk off a pick-and-roll pass from Terrence Williams put the Cards ahead 48-35 with 1:21.

After UK closed within 48-39, Louisville scored four straight points (the final two on a Derrick Caracter dunk) to re-establish a 13-point lead with 11:09 left.

To that point, Louisville had made eight of 12 second-half shots. UK had made two of seven.
