Although it is not everyday that a tornado strikes a SEC tournament facility, one would think the SEC and NCAA would have in place a plan in case of the loss of use of a facility due to weather, terrorist threat, utility failure, etc. And one would assume the SEC would have had in place for years a refund procedure. How much do these SEC officials get paid to get exposed with their heads in the sand?

Although it isn't everyday a tornado strikes an SEC tourney facility, it would seem the SEC would have a plan in place in the event a facility cannot be used for any reason. And it seems reasonable to assume a refund procedure would be well established by the SEC years ago. How much do these SEC officials get paid to be caught with their heads in the sand?

My comments have to do with the SEC Men's Basketball Tournament. First, most fans would have been okay with the rule that only family members, school officials and the media could attend the remaining games after the tornado- that seems like the only fair thing to do with the very short notice. What doesn't seem fair- and the UK fans took notice- is the unusually large number of UK family members (and most of a different race from our players) that attended the UK vs. Georgia game. Secondly, perhaps I've missed it, but I have yet to hear any sincere comments from either the SEC or UK officials to the fans stating how dissappointed or sorry they were that fans, who had followed the teams and spent the money required to follow the teams, were unable to attend the games. I hope fans will remember how they were treated and not support UK and the SEC basketball tournament in the future. It appears as long as the support is going into the schools everything is okay, but once it is required by the league or the school to support the fans they have chosen to be "no shows".
