Great footage Jerry. I got a feeling on that night that has been missing for a long time watching the ‘Cats play. I think, as the season progresses, this may be one of the most fun teams to watch since our last NCAA finals team. And then again, maybe more fun than any team since the Unforgettables. Every now and then its a good thing to be the underdog throughout most of the schedule. While quite humbling to players too sold own their own “rights by heritage” and even more so to fans still desperately drunk with success from a decade before, the reality of this team’s situation is beginning to finally take hold. I have been sickened by the totally predictable backstabbing that has reared it’s ugly head against a refreshingly honest, hard working coach who, with the excitement in his eyes of a kid living out his greatest dream just by being here, has faced more uncontrollable controversy already than any UK coach before him. Billy Gillispie’s genuine love for the game, and more importantly, for any young man who suits up in the Blue and White to play for him will surely be so infectious that the legend of the Big Blue Heart is almost surely to be reborn before our eyes. There will be no quitters to be found on this delightful man’s squad ever. Heck, watching these boys grow up under his watch, I want to run out and do anything I can to help them pull off another awesomely unexpected win for the man who quite possibly may be destined to become the most beloved Wildcat coach since Rupp himself. Great job Coach Gillispie, great job!
